Hachiko Monogatari (1987)

Hachikō Monogatari  is a Japanese language film starring Tatsuya Nakadai, Kaoru Yachigusa, Mako Ishino and Masumi Harukawa. The film, directed by Seijirō Kōyama, is a tragic, true story about Hachikō, an Akita dog who was loyal to his master, Professor Ueno, even after his (Ueno's) death. The film was released in 1987 and was the top Japanese film at the box office that year.
Hachikō Monogatari is a melodramatic film that tells the true story of friendship, trust and affection of Japan's most faithful dog "Hachi", whose bronze statue, to this day, stands watch over Shibuya Station, Tokyo.

Touching the Void is a 2003 documentary film based on the book of the same name by Joe Simpson about Simpson's and Simon Yates' disastrous and near fatal attempt to climb the 6,344 metre (20,813 foot) Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes in 1985.

Remember the Titans is a 2000 American sports film produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Boaz Yakin. The film starts as a new coach of the Titans, a football team previously coached by the white Bill Yoast, begins coaching the team. The new coach, Herman Boone, is black, and his team is a mixture of black players and white players. The struggles that arise from the racial diversity are profound. Actor Will Patton portrays Bill Yoast, making a transition to help out Boone as an assistant coach. The portrayal of real life athletes Gerry Bertier and Julius Campbell (played by Ryan Hurst and Wood Harris, respectively) appears within the integrated storyline. Kip Pardue and Kate Bosworth also star in principal roles
